Just want to let you know about Ryan Geil, a high school baseball player for Franklin. Ryan has been working with me for around 10 months and has come a long way with a great offseason of intense training.
A few stats: Pitching speed last year: 74 mph
Pitching speed this year: 80 mph
Home Runs all last year: 2
Home Runs through first few weeks this year: 5
That is some good improvement. How did this happen? Well, for starters, we fixed imbalances in his hips and shoulders and worked on his movement patterns. Then, throughout the year we built up his max strength, power, speed, muscle, etc. all the while prehabbing important areas like his shoulders and hips all offseason.
A few training stats: Max Squat starting: 250
Max Squat now: 315
Max Bench starting: 150
Max Bench now: 215
(Not a ton of full range pressing was done in training as we want to keep too much extra stress off of a pitcher's shoulders)
Vertical jump starting: 21"
Vertical jump now: 26"
He has gotten stronger, more explosive, faster and has gotten much better with his awareness, balance and agility among other things, not to mention he has put on at least 15-20 lbs.
Look for him to have a big season this summer; you just might be hearing about him in the paper.

I should have some new training vids uploaded soon as I might actually have some extra time this week to get some little things done. Don't forget, my outdoor strength and conditioning class will be starting soon. If you are in the kenosha or south milwaukee area, don't miss out.
